Düsseldorf/Zurich. Several meetings between representatives from the United Apostolic Church and the New Apostolic Church have taken place over the last few months. By mutual agreement, both sides expressed the desire to settle their relationship with one another and go into the future in reconciliation.

The content of these discussions centred on the events that led to the separation between the United Apostolic Church and the New Apostolic Church in the year 1955. In an open exchange, these events were analysed from today’s point of view.

In the meantime, a Statement of Reconciliation between the United Apostolic Church and the New Apostolic Church has been approved by the leading bodies of both churches. This Statement is to be made public in a ceremony on Saturday, 29 November 2014 at 2:00 PM in the United Apostolic Church on Cantadorstraße 11, 40211 Düsseldorf.

Specially invited to the ceremony are contemporary witnesses, namely those who actually experienced this separation or were directly affected by it. Seating in the church is limited. For this reason we ask for understanding that admission tickets will need to be distributed. Interested parties can order these at the respective church offices by stating the reason for their interest and providing their address and telephone number. The admission tickets will be distributed in the post.
