Listen to it

You can’t know everything, so it really helps if you know where to look for things. In the past, we used to read up in books, now we trawl through the Internet. Here are some useful links.

Whether as a gift or as a little favour to yourself: when anniversaries come up, people usually love to revel in memories. But what if you have lost your confirmation letter or have forgotten the Bible passage dedicated to you at your confirmation. This is where the central archives of the New Apostolic Church Western Germany come in. They can help. Documents relating to confirmation can be downloaded right back to the year 1956. The District Church only has the letters in German, but with the Bible reference anyone can find the verse in their own language. Those who prefer paper can even buy a book.

Whether you are planning a vacation or a business trip: the closest congregation is only a click or a swipe away. On the Internet there is a church finder in English, French, Spanish, and German. For smart phone users there are apps, both for iOS and Android devices. Since the congregational data has not yet been internationally standardised, some District Churches such as the USA and Southern Africa provide their data via their own church finder.

The Catechism comes in a number of different formats: as an e-book in the versions EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, and PDF, and as an app for iOS and Android devices. However, the online edition of the Catechism offers a great advantage over the other formats, especially if you want to interact and discuss the Catechism with others. It allows you to send references of the different passages in the form of links and in various languages on top of that, because the Catechism exists in English, French, Spanish, and German.
