The relief organization of the New Apostolic Church in the Philippines NACSEA Relief Fund has released its annual report of 2013. The Fund provides 36 pages of insight into the charitable work of the past year.
In his preface, Urs Hebeisen, President of the Agency, writes that natural disasters are powerful and have a devastating effect. But his observation also was that the power of regeneration in nature is much stronger.
Over 10 million Philippine peso (the equivalent of about 180,000 euros) were received by the Fund in 2013 through contributions from private donations and from the European aid agencies Humanitas NAK, NAK-karitativ and MIssionswerk Süddeutschland and NAC USA. This money was used particularly after the disasters caused by the storms Haiyan and Bopha.
Maraming Salamat is Tagalog, the Central Philippine language, and means Thank you very much. Do good to your neighbours, to carry the load of others and labour in love are not just quotations from sermons, but also our mission, said District Apostle Hebeisen in Southeast Asia.
