There is no better time for youth gatherings than summer. These special events are meant to speak to the younger generation, and offer an exciting programme in nice weather—the best ingredients for a few enjoyable hours.

Youth Day in Leipzig – Dare to be faithful!

The Chief Apostle be in Leipzig (Germany) from 15 to 17 June 2018 for the Youth Day of the District Church Northern and Eastern. The performance of the pop oratorio I Am on Saturday evening is expected to be a real crowd-puller. The oratorio was written for choir, symphony orchestra, band, soloists, and actors, and deals with the seven “I am” statements of Jesus and His miracles.

The motto of the Youth Day is “Dare to be faithful!” and is based on our 2018 motto “Faithful to Christ”, issued by the Chief Apostle at the beginning of the year. The event will offer three days of fellowship with an array of activities and topics that affect young Christians. On Friday, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider and District Apostle Rüdiger Krause will welcome the participants to the Leipzig Trade Fair grounds. The programme on Saturday will include various talks, workshops, panel discussions, various booths, and sports activities. After the divine service on Sunday, there will still be a youth meeting at 1.30 p.m. in the big hall, which will be the final event and bring the weekend to a close.

Youth Day in Oberhausen – You are a somebody!

The Youth Day in the arena in Oberhausen (Germany) will also be taking place on the same weekend, from 16 to 17 June 2018: all young Church members from the District Church Western Germany, which includes Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, are invited to Oberhausen. Also invited are the youth leaders, Apostles, Bishops, district leaders, and rectors. And a special invitation has been extended to this year’s and next year’s confirmands, as well as to the confirmation teachers. The divine service on Sunday will begin at 10.30 a.m. The programme will begin half an hour earlier already. In the afternoon, the young Christians can look forward to an exciting programme of verbal, musical, and video presentations, which are to provide food for thought. This year’s motto is: “You are a somebody!”

Those who wish can already be there on Saturday evening for the traditional 7 p.m. concert that rings in the weekend. It will be hosted by the Youth Symphony Orchestra NRW and the Youth Concert Choir NRW.

International Youth Convention 2019 in Düsseldorf – Here I am!

The first International Youth Convention of the New Apostolic Church will begin on Ascension Day, 30 May 2019, with several opening services.

Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider will officially open the event on Friday morning in the arena on the exhibition grounds in Düsseldorf. This will be followed by exhibitions and events in the various halls—a total of 200 programme items. On Friday and Saturday, musical events are planned in the arena. A total of 40,000 participants are expected at the closing service on Sunday.

The fairgrounds in Düsseldorf are an ideal venue. There are 19 exhibition halls with enough capacity, the ESPRIT Arena is in the immediate vicinity, and there are good transportation links. Düsseldorf is a transportation hub, located close to all major European roads, has good connections to the rail network of Deutsche Bahn (DB, German Railways), a good public transportation system, and an international airport. These conditions are unique in Europe—only Las Vegas (USA) has something comparable.
