Also in 2022 the Church will offer video services, like last year. The only difference will be that the video signal will no longer reach the faithful via satellite but via IPTV.

Also in 2022 the New Apostolic Church will continue to broadcast reliably. As of this year, the Church is no longer transmitting via satellite.

From postal cable to IPTV

Transmissions of divine services have a long tradition in the New Apostolic Church. A few decades ago, the Church was still broadcasting its services via postal cable. Then, on a trip to the United States, Chief Apostle Hans Urwyler conducted a service that was transmitted by video. In 1983 the Church succeeded in transmitting its first audio-visual service via directional radio. On Pentecost 1990 then, satellite transmissions made their debut. Brothers and Sisters in 830 congregations were able to follow the broadcast of the service.

Today, with the pandemic in full swing, such figures make us smile. Tens of thousands of brothers and sisters worldwide are joining online services from their homes. Starting 2022, all divine services will be broadcast via IPTV, which means that all interested brothers and sisters can follow the divine services by video and audio.
