The Catechism at your fingertips … Whether in the pew, on the road, or at home, this mobile app is an essential tool. Get the latest version of this free app now.

Normally, our mobiles are off when we gather for divine service and prayer. But there are a few exceptions. They can come in very handy whenever we gather for religious instruction class or a Bible study evening and are talking about our doctrine—a glance at the display can often help with information. Thanks to the memo and search functions, the app user is usually faster at the desired spot than those who have to leaf through the book.

Doctrine: everywhere and any time

Our doctrine is presented in two designs: the long version in a 500-page book with a light blue cover or in a shorter version, divided into 750 questions and answers. That is not all, though. The Catechism can also be found online. The long version of the Catechism is featured on the website of the New Apostolic Church in numerous languages. And for a few years now, the Catechism has also been available as an app for mobile devices, which can be downloaded free of charge from the iTunes and Google Play stores for smartphones and tablets.

Whichever version one prefers, they all have their specific advantages: for those who love the feel of a book, there is the paper version to read and leaf through; for the techies there is the app with a useful memo and search functions.

Not only in English

Since the official language of the global Church is English, the titles of the app series were designed in English. The prefix “nac” stands for New Apostolic Church. The second part of the name identifies the content of the respective app.

  • naccatechism, the long version of the Catechism
  • nacfaq, the Catechism in Questions and Answers
  • nacmaps, the global congregation search
  • nacnews, news from the District Churches around the globe

The menu navigation and the contents of the apps are multilingual and can of course be individually adjusted.

Optimised for new operating systems and display sizes

The current update supports all current smartphones and tablets. New display sizes and new operating systems have made numerous adjustments necessary.

The Catechism “is an appeal to all New Apostolic Christians to occupy themselves intensively with the content of their faith,” it says in the foreword of the Catechism in Questions and Answers. And modern technology brings it to everyone, whether in church, on the road, or at home.
