In May 2026, the New Apostolic Church International numbered 366 active Apostles. Since November 2025, the apostolate has grown by two District Apostles and sixteen Apostles. 

Responsibility, pastoral care, love for the Lord—these qualities defined the ministry of District Apostle Michael Ehrich. After 44 years as a minister, Chief Apostle Helge Mutschler retired him.

Between north German clarity and quiet warmth, Rüdiger Krause developed a style all his own for reaching people. This Sunday he will retire as District Apostle of around twenty countries.

The number remains unchanged, but the faces are changing. The records show 365 active Apostles for the period from June to November 2025. These include a new Chief Apostle Helper, two new District Apostles, two newly assigned District Apostle Helpers, and ten new Apostles.

“The man with the big heart.” His heart was at home everywhere. District Apostle Helper Frank Dzur (Canada) has retired. His life was one of dedication, loyalty, kindness, and benevolence.

District Apostle Mark Woll (Canada) cared for congregations on several continents—and he shaped generations. On the occasion of the District Apostle’s retirement, the Chief Apostle said thank you on behalf of the Church. 

He is not one known for grand gestures, but for genuine closeness. District Apostle Mark Woll from Canada built structures and touched hearts. Now he is retiring.

He says he is not much of an adventurer. And yet his life has been one adventure due to his global travels. In the process he earned himself a reputation as the king of fellowship. Now he is retiring.

His secret: he trusted in God even when the going was tough. Accompanied by much gratitude and recognition, District Apostle Helper David Devaraj from India has retired.

With words full of appreciation and gratitude, the Chief Apostle paid tribute to the retiring District Apostle Michael Deppner (Democratic Republic Congo West), “You will remain our big brother.”

He is a cross between Albert Schweitzer and Indiana Jones. This Sunday, District Apostle Michael Deppner (DR Congo West) will retire. 

There is currently one Apostle for every day of the year—the New Apostolic Church International registered a total of 365 active Apostles for the period between November 2024 and April 2025. Among them are sixteen new Apostles and one District Apostle Helper.

Rather than demand our silent devotion, Jesus wants us to act: let us go out, testify, and help others. Those who merely pray without taking action have failed in their mission. Chief Apostle Schneider calls for transformation.

Many contributed to the development of the Church by preaching or doing soul care, but Apostle John Erb also laid the legal foundations for the New Apostolic Church in the United States. John Erb was born 150 years ago to the day. He had his share of ups and downs in life.
