A proverb says that many cooks spoil the broth. Good networking proves the contrary. This week, nac.today presents a successful new project, an unusual idea, and a countdown.
A new project – A terrific magazine for West Africa
Regional news from eleven West African countries complement community, the member magazine. Brothers and sisters in Benin, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Togo are doing journalistic work locally. Additional pages are being created together with the editorial team of the New Apostolic Church Southern Germany.
These regional issues of community are available for download in the media library of the website of the New Apostolic Church Southern Germany. A great magazine—with even more regional news. All editions of community can be found in the community archives on nac.today .
Reaching out – Altar decorations used for a good cause
The material used to decorate the altar and the church consisted of a little more than the usual flowers. When Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider conducted the New Year’s Eve service in Bienne in Switzerland at the end of last year, he did not do so in an unadorned church hall.
The handmade wreaths, which had been artfully arranged in smaller and larger towers, were now sold this past Sunday, and the proceeds of 1,009 CHF donated to NAK-Humanitas, a Swiss charity. NAK-Humanitas has set itself the objective of creating a sustainable improvement in the quality of life and providing prospects for people living in difficult circumstances.
Preparing for the visit of the Chief Apostle
The members in Zambia are already now beginning to prepare for the Chief Apostle’s visit in April 2018. District Apostle Charles S. Ndandula officially gave the go-ahead this past Saturday in the Musi O Tunya congregation in Livingstone.
During this divine service the congregation of 1,975 members celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary. A magnificent concert, which took place on the Friday evening, set the mood.
