The New Apostolic Church Northern and Eastern Germany is bidding a musical farewell to its former District Apostle. The concert will be broadcast live.

With its twenty countries, the District Apostle Area extends from Greenland to Mongolia. And the concert on Saturday, 13 December 2025, starting at 4.30 p.m. CET in the church in Hamburg-Eppendorf, will be similarly broad in scope. “The programme will focus on musical contributions from these countries,” the director of music, Gerrit Junge, says when asked by nac.today. “There will be many musical contributions in the  original languages, most of which will be Advent-themed.”

The motto of the concert is “And the Glory of the Lord” from the oratorio The Messiah by George Frideric Handel. This will be the opening chorus of the concert. Around 150 performers in a total of four choirs will perform the music programme. The chamber choir Gloria Dei from Flensburg, the cHHor (Hamburg Choir), and the Wilhelmshaven Chamber Choir will be participating, as well as a children’s choir that has been put together especially for this occasion.

The concert will be broadcast via IPT and YouTube and can also be viewed here. In the event of technical problems, a new stream will start on the YouTube page of the New Apostolic Church Northern and Eastern Germany.

Mit dem Konzert verabschiedet sich der Bezirksapostelbereich von seinem bisherigen Leiter Rüdiger Krause. He will be retired in the divine service with the Chief Apostle on Sunday, 14 December 2025. He will be succeeded by Apostle David Heynes, who has been active as a District Apostle Helper since August 2025.
