The new year not only brings a new motto and good wishes with it, but also concrete plans and unique meetings.
Sixty divine services are on Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider’s 2017 schedule, most of which he will celebrate with the congregations. In addition to his brothers and sisters, friends of the New Apostolic Church regularly take part in these services, as do representatives of other denominations and government officials.
Divine services with ministers
The Chief Apostle also always plans special services for the ministers or the youth. For example, on Friday, 17 February, he will meet with all the ministers in Guinea-Bissau. And on Saturday, 8 April, he will meet with the ministers and their wives in Panama (Central America).
A televised service for children
Extraordinary will be a divine service which Chief Apostle Schneider will conduct on 10 December in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo) especially for children. It will be televised on national TV. Many children are expected to attend.
No service without a long journey
No sister, no brother has a longer way to church than the Chief Apostle. Also this year he will again travel to all the continents to visit the members. He uses the opportunities these journeys present to meet with the District Apostles, Apostles, and the leading ministers.

Divine services on holy days
The Chief Apostle will celebrate Good Friday in Winterthur (Switzerland) and Easter in Marburg (Germany). On Pentecost he will be in Vienna (Austria). The festivities there will be preceded by a conference of the District Apostles. The Pentecost service will be transmitted to all congregations around the world. The service on Christmas Day, the Chief Apostle will conduct in a congregation in France—as in previous years.
This shows that nobody is more at home around the world than Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider.
