“Go into all the world…”— not least of all on their travels through their home countries and the missionary regions in their care do the District Apostles fulfil their Great Commission. In so doing, they often bring along a gift or two in their luggage for the congregations they visit.

While he is at home in the eastern part of South Africa, District Apostle Patrick Mkhwanazi recently travelled through a kingdom: the neighbouring state of Swaziland is in fact an absolute monarchy. It is home to approximately 1,000 New Apostolic Christians, whom the District Apostle visited for the first time in May of this year. In addition to a regular divine service and a divine service for youth, the itinerary also included a meeting with ministers. This gathering was also attended by brothers who will be assuming a ministry in the near future.

Although District Apostle Leonard R. Kolb remained in the USA on this occasion, the divine service which he conducted in New York last Sunday was addressed to members of Chinese descent. This was the first district service in the “Bethpage Worship Center”, which had just been dedicated this past July. The service was followed by a brief concert featuring both Chinese and English choirs, as well as a meal for all.

The itinerary was colourful—and jam-packed—for District Apostle Urs Hebeisen during his trip to the region of Cara in the Philippines, in the northeast of the Island of Mindanao. His travel programme included the dedication of a church in Brgy Sanghan, a youth day in Butuan, two silver anniversary blessings, an engagement blessing, as well as two retirements, not to mention a meeting with all the Evangelists of the region. The subject: “Ambassadorial joy—clear and understandable preaching of the word of God.”
