The structure is always the same, but the content is always new and different. The Church magazine brings the New Apostolic world into your home and is available in many languages. Here is what you can expect in the latest issue.
The latest issue of community is designed to motivate. The 32-page magazine is now available in digital or print versions all over the world. Readers will find numerous articles in the richly illustrated magazine to strengthen their faith and broaden their understanding of the Church and theological aspects, as well as other cultures.
With Jesus against fear
Over six pages you can read how Jesus encourages the believers and always accompanies them. Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider conducted a divine service in San Francisco (USA) on 13 October 2024. He based his sermon on John 14: 1: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
This is what Jesus told the disciples shortly after His suffering and death. This subject makes the divine service highly topical, as this issue’s distribution falls within the period of Lent. Chief Apostle Schneider has some thoughts on this in his editorial.
Next in the magazine are three double-page spreads each with a divine service—from Africa, Asia, and Europe. The Chief Apostle preached about the subjects of forgiveness, neighbourly love, and gifts of God’s infinite grace. Summarised into short, concise statements, these divine services by the Chief Apostle make for a quick and edifying read in between. The core thoughts at the end of each service are formulated even more concisely. So there is always time for God’s word.
Extras for children and ministers
And of course there is a section for our youngest Church members. The Children’s Corner is dedicated entirely to the little ones—and the slightly older ones who are interested. For example, there is the story of Zacchaeus, whom Jesus visits, retold in a child-friendly way and lovingly illustrated. And nine-year-old Leonard from Kinsale in Ireland talks about his congregation, the country he lives in, and his favourite hobbies.
The next four pages are for those readers who enjoy in-depth reading. “Proclaiming God’s will correctly” is the article featured in our doctrine section. It talks about the proper way of preaching and is aimed primarily at the ministers, but also at anyone who is interested.
News from around the world
Christians around the world are committed to doing good for their neighbours, the environment, and their fellow brothers and sisters—and not only since our 2025 motto was issued. An informative article shows examples from the New Apostolic Church of good deeds by Church members from all over the world.
It is also always fascinating to see what is happening in the apostolate worldwide. A review article shows the changes that have taken place in the last six months in the group of over 300 Apostles worldwide.
Speaking of doing good. The New Apostolic Church has a number of aid agencies around the world that work with volunteers and resources to help improve the lives of the vulnerable. One such aid organisation, OSNAC, is featured in the latest issue.
In addition, a few pages of the magazine are dedicated to the official website of the New Apostolic Church, nak.org. A QR code takes you directly to the updated liturgy of the New Apostolic Church or you can click through the Catechism of the New Apostolic Church, the Guide for Ministers, and many other important texts that are intended to deepen your faith.
