Three days, a range of topics, and hundreds of helping hands: at the Together Conference in Columbus, Ohio, believers from across the United States experienced what unity means.

The participants gathered from 26 to 28 June 2026. They prayed together, deepened their understanding, fostered fellowship, and reached out to one another. Presentations and talks, working groups, and panel discussions explored the question: What does it mean to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ today?

The event kicked off on Friday evening with a welcome address by District Apostle John Schnabel. This was followed by a musical devotional led by Matt Maher, a contemporary Christian music artist.

Faith between everyday life and personal well-being

Saturday’s programme featured a wide range of sessions addressing both spiritual and practical aspects of Christian life. Participants explored topics including liturgy, theology, addiction, and recovery. Other offers focused on faith in everyday life, maintaining healthy boundaries, preventing burnout, and supporting people with special needs.

In an age characterised by technology and constant distraction, the question of how to consciously create space for the sanctification of the Sabbath was also addressed. In an interview, NBA player and New Apostolic Christian Oscar Tshiebwe spoke about his faith.

Separate events for children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and grandparents provided opportunities for learning, discussion, and sharing. A prayer room, the Kid Zone, and various opportunities to meet and interact encouraged participants to deepen their relationship with God and with one another.

Hundreds lend a hand

Hundreds of volunteers made the conference possible, serving in a wide variety of roles including guest reception, catering, childcare, logistics, and music. The event’s musical programme alone brought together more than 400 participants alone in the orchestra, children’s choir, and national choir.

The highlight of the conference was a divine service on Sunday. The sermon was based on Acts 2: 42–44. District Apostle Schnabel called on the congregation to hold fast to the Apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. The aim, he said, is to live as one body in Christ.

He concluded with a renewed call to discipleship: Jesus’ disciples are to make His love visible in their families, congregations, workplaces, and wider communities— until Christ returns.
