A guiding theme for eye and ear
“Joy in Christ” is the motto that the Chief Apostle published for the New Apostolic Church at the beginning of the year. Since then this motto has not only accompanied the brothers and sisters around the globe orally and in writing, but it has also been illustrated in the meantime. At home around the world
Snow at Pentecost? A strange phenomenon for those living north of the Equator. But in the Southern Hemisphere this is nothing unusual at this time of the year. Development work not only in spiritual matters
One church, many cultures … This was only one of the aspects under which the New Apostolic Church—which is active in nearly all countries worldwide—presented itself at the Evangelical Church Convention in Stuttgart, the largest such gathering in Germany. “It would be great to have Pentecost in Zambia every year!” is what a sister said after the concert in our central church in Lusaka on Saturday. The church offers room for about 3,000 people, but nearly 4,000 were in the church. The audience was thrilled. At the end of the concert there was no stopping the choir and instrumentalists. They just kept on singing and dancing.

The donkey, that’s me
Jesus knew exactly what He was doing when He chose His mount to enter Jerusalem. What’s more, He sent signals right up to our own time. Here is a reflection on the theme of Palm Sunday.

Ascension means: now it’s your turn
Pentecost is considered the birthday of the church. But like a plant that germinates underground before the first shoots emerge, the origins of the church lie deeper and earlier.

Silent extras, active seekers
Not everyone is in the stable, not everyone sings in the angel choir. But the silent figures in the Christmas story are more than mere extras. They show that God speaks to everyone. The question is: who will answer?
