“Easter reminds us: ‘Brother, sister, don’t worry, the Lord is here!’” This is the summary of Chief Apostle Schneider’s Easter message for 2022. The divine service took place in Bünde (Germany).

It began with positive steps towards one another that developed into a common path forward. Much has happened since the ecumenical work of the New Apostolic Church started 22 years ago. One of the initiators who has done a lot of work in this area has now stepped down.

The effects of Easter still feel very real. The joy over the resurrection of Jesus is still the focus of our faith life. Sunday’s service will also concentrate on this.

The sacrifice of Jesus, as cruel as it was, shows God’s unconditional love for His children. And the best way for the believers to respond is to love back. That was the content of the Chief Apostle’s sermon on Good Friday.

Whether young people do something for the congregation or something is done for them, they are important because they are the future of the Church.

The pandemic is still keeping many members from coming back to worship in their congregations. Yet they can receive the word of God. For God’s word easily reaches beyond the four walls of a church building.

Life is followed by death. Jesus reversed this equation. A few days after His death, He came back alive. An apparent defeat became a victory.

“I have never enjoyed going to school on a Saturday that much.” This is how Chief Apostle Schneider said goodbye to the congregation of Ho in Ghana, where he had conducted a divine service in the assembly hall of Mawuli School.
