An apology for past mistakes, an indication to a future without Apostles, and the call to tolerance and respect for our fellow human beings: all of this and more belongs to the concept humility as it is understood by the New Apostolic Church.

“The wrong response would be to remain motionless, inactive, and mute,” Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider states in his editorial of the new issue of community. Praising God and giving thanks is an essential task of everyday life.

The life of New Apostolic Christians around the world is intense and exciting. This week join us for a look back at Pentecost, two church dedications, and a celebration of the Church’s beginnings.

There is someone who can really understand us because He Himself was made to suffer. And there is someone who can really help because He Himself succeeded. Jesus Christ showed how we can overcome temptation. Now all we have to do is follow His example.

The Chief Apostle will conduct a divine service in Thika (Kenya) on 30 June. He will also celebrate the divine service for the departed in this East African country. The brothers and sisters have high expectations.

The Church is alive. The Christian community is active. Taking an active role, living one’s faith, and helping to shape things … This is what characterises Christians—not just participating in divine services.

New York City is known for its diversity. As the gate to the New World the city has welcomed immigrants from all over the world for decades. It has become the home for people of many different cultures, languages, backgrounds, and traditions.

The concept of ministry of the New Apostolic Church is becoming more and more concrete. This is reflected in the publication which the ministers of the Church around the world will be receiving over the next few days. This is not a revolution, but certainly an evolution.

An appeal of a special kind: Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider is constantly striving to keep an eye on the younger generation of the Church. This was not only part of his Pentecost sermon in Vienna, but also applies to the teaching materials that will be used in the various levels of Church instruction.

Being a Christian is a challenge—even nowadays, or perhaps especially nowadays. In order to accomplish this mission one of the things we need is some rest. Following is a recipe that Jesus gave His disciples.

Faith is also something akin to goal-oriented loyalty. And sometimes mid-term goals are worth celebrating: big and small anniversaries, personal and joint anniversaries.

Wherever the Spirit of God dwells He makes an impact. But for these effects to unfold and develop it requires that we believe in our own sealing. Excerpts from the 2017 Pentecost service by the Chief Apostle.
