Three active Apostles in a row have passed away in the past few days on the African continent. Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider paid tribute to their commitment to the now grieving congregations.

The fate of the many refugees who are currently travelling in Europe has moved the hearts of New Apostolic Christians around the world. This is demonstrated by the reactions in social networks. But it is not just talk and discussion: concrete help is also being organized.

Doing the will of God: that is the objective of each and every believing Christian. Yet each and every one of us must make personal decisions for ourselves. On Sunday, 19 April 2015, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider celebrated a divine service in Dodoma, the national capital of Tanzania. On this occasion, he placed District Apostle Shadreck Lubasi into retirement and ordained Joseph Opemba Ekhuya (45) as his successor, and commissioned him to lead the New Apostolic Church East Africa as District Apostle. A few weeks before this change, the two Apostles gave nac.today an interview.

It all began just a little over 50 years ago. On 1 August 1965 District Apostle Michael Kraus dedicated the New Apostolic church in Jeffrey Town in Jamaica. Years of growth followed and the Church spread throughout Jamaica.

“He was a young and deeply faithful man of God with vision,” District Apostle (ret.) Brinkmann describes his friend and companion, Sukami Landu Ronsard, the first Angolan Apostle. He died on 27 August 1989 at the age of 31 in an ambush by rebels. Thirty years ago to the day, Apostle Ronsard was ordained as an Apostle.

What does a congregation need to be able to function and live its faith? The wishes around the world are as broad and diverse as the living conditions are. But what is really required? We are going to take a look at an ongoing project that has come up with some surprising answers.
