On his visit to Thailand, the Chief Apostle will be taking a trip into the future. This is because the Buddhist calendar is several years ahead of the Christian calendar. But before we look at the events coming up this weekend, we will take a journey back in time to the beginnings of the New Apostolic Church in Thailand.

A cookbook, a wheelchair, and a compliant congregation. Together people can achieve so much more. This is what members in South Africa and Nigeria, the Philippines, and France and Germany experienced over the past few weeks.

Why do we pray the way we pray? And isn’t it irrelevant what posture we take when we pray? Whether we pray standing, sitting, or lying down, or have our hands folded or our arms wide open—does it really matter? Well, this much is clear, sometimes a gesture or a posture is worth a thousand words.

Jesus taught the gospel with authority. He passed this mission on to His Apostles and told them to teach all people in the world. This is what the Chief Apostle does regularly. Just recently He was in Rwanda and preached about the gospel of Jesus and how it can be implemented.

It has been on its way since October 2023 and has just arrived everywhere. For the first time in its ninety-year history, the Guide for Ministers is being published on the official website of the New Apostolic Church, nak.org.

Built by the members themselves, it has always been a mighty fortress through the years, and this year it celebrates its 85-year anniversary.

It would be a shame to waste a good excuse to celebrate, whether due to a Chief Apostle visit, the dedication of new place of worship, or simply an opportunity to be together. In any event, our brothers and sisters around the world had good reason for collective merriment over the past weeks.

There are many similarities between the believers today and Mary, the mother of Jesus, back then, the Chief Apostle says. The point here is faith, trust, and patience as well as powerful people who fall and rich people who come away empty-handed.

Prayer has always been an important part of our life, but this year it became just a little bit more so thanks to our motto. Brothers and sisters from Ghana, Germany, and the Netherlands used this year’s annual motto “Prayer works!” as an opportunity to put on a short play and to gather with other denominations and pray outside our church walls.

The goal of all Christians is to be ready when Jesus returns to take His own to Himself. Apostle Peter once wrote that one needs to be spotless and blameless for this. What exactly this means the Chief Apostle explained in a divine service.

Those who believe talk and share. They talk to God and they talk to other people about their faith. The divine services in the month of February examine our devotion to God. The month will be about profession, praise, gratitude, and intercession. Because prayer works!
