This past Sunday, 25 October 2015, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider conducted a divine service in our central church in Buenos Aires in Argentina, in which he placed District Apostle Norberto Passuni into retirement. District Apostle Helper Enrique Eduardo Minio was ordained to succeed him as District Apostle for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

From 30 May to 2 June 2019 there will be a remake of the European Youth Day—this time with participants from around the world. “I hope to see many young people from all over the world in Düsseldorf on Ascension 2019,” Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider says.

Two times each year, all District Apostles and District Apostle Helpers of the world come together for a District Apostle Meeting. They debate globally strategic topics that are of significance for the overall leadership of the Church. In October this meeting will take place in Johannesburg in South Africa.

Helping hand in hand: that is how New Apostolic congregations have been helping refugees for months—most often together with other Christians, initiatives, and organizations. Infrastructural support is also coming increasingly from the Church leadership.

Europe and Africa — two different continents, two different cultures. In Europe, the membership numbers of many churches are decreasing, and even New Apostolic congregations are being closed. But the Church is growing in other places.

Every tenth person in Zambia is New Apostolic. Such numbers is something that the Hamburg native, Nicole Ide, is not familiar with at home. For 55 years Klaus Michael Fruth has been composing music for the New Apostolic Church. To date he has created 297 compositions. That makes 5.4 compositions a year. Tomorrow, Klaus Michael Fruth, who is a German-language and math teacher, celebrates his 75th birthday.

Finding one’s personal freedom in Jesus Christ contradicts the laws of modern society in the year 2015, or not? In a recent service, Chief Apostle Schneider spoke about ways to true freedom and lasting happiness.

Snow at Pentecost? A strange phenomenon for those living north of the Equator. But in the Southern Hemisphere this is nothing unusual at this time of the year. In fact, the world is so big and colourful that what seems normal for us may appear novel and perhaps a little unusual for someone else somewhere else. A look at some of our congregations on three continents proves the point.

“It would be great to have Pentecost in Zambia every year!” is what a sister said after the concert in our central church in Lusaka on Saturday. The church offers room for about 3,000 people, but nearly 4,000 were in the church. The audience was thrilled. At the end of the concert there was no stopping the choir and instrumentalists. They just kept on singing and dancing.
