Riveting, entertaining, and of an exceptional standard: these superlatives best describe the 2017 Pentecost concert in Vienna. The concert in the unique ambience of the Wiener Konzerthaus was not only a feast for the ears.

The stalls, the boxes, the lower and upper galleries … the Vienna Concert Hall was filled to the last seat. “We invite you to have an encounter with Jesus through music,” Franz Jochum, the musical director and conductor, said to the audience at the beginning of the concert.

What would the Christian church be without the Spirit? She would be spiritless. But for Christians God is triune: He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at the same time. Therefore, His church is not spiritless. In June, our New Apostolic services will focus on the Holy Spirit.

For the first time this year, the District Apostles and their assistants will meet for a conference. This time, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider has invited them to Vienna (Austria). The focus will be on the New Apostolic conception of ministry.

How do you declare your love for a city? Johann Schrammel did so by dedicating a marsh to Vienna in 1886. About a quarter of the Austrians live in their capital, but the city welcomes even more tourists each year. What makes this city so fascinating?

Ten satellites and eleven ground stations will make it possible: on Pentecost, the New Apostolic Church around the world will edge closer to one another and form one large congregation. And in the process the central divine service will return to the place of its roots.

The liturgical year is an annual cycle of feasts that focus on Christmas and Easter. The New Apostolic Church also follows the liturgical year. What is this exactly?

For more than a decade, there were two denominations that carried the name “New Apostolic Church” in South Africa. Between 1913 and 1926 Apostle Carl Georg Klibbe, who was the more senior of the two, and Apostle Schlaphoff each led one of the New Apostolic Churches. The case was finally settled in court.

The new year not only brings a new motto and good wishes with it, but also concrete plans and unique meetings.

The president of the New Apostolic Church flies to Australia regularly. Still, District Apostle Andrew Andersen referred to the Chief Apostle’s recent visit as historic. The reason, all national leaders of the New Apostolic Church had been invited to a conference in Perth.

Lausanne is beautifully set on Lake Geneva in Romandy, the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Surrounded by the Jura Mountains, the city enjoys a mild climate—a good destination for Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider, who will be visiting the congregation on Sunday to celebrate a divine service.

Music—this is a matter that is dear to the heart of New Apostolic congregations around the world. But the conditions vary greatly from place to place. Sometimes the only thing that helps is collaboration that transcends borders.
