The range of online services has been expanded. The Church in Lithuania is now also broadcasting services on YouTube on Sundays.
In many countries, assemblies and divine services are still not possible. The offer of divine services by call-in and video transmission via YouTube is aimed especially at these brothers and sisters. The New Apostolic Church in Lithuania is now also online and offering divine services in the Lithuanian language.
At present, there are 2,600 New Apostolic Christians in this Baltic state in 22 congregations. They are cared for by 42 ministers. The administrative and pastoral responsibility rests with the New Apostolic Church Western Germany. The first New Apostolic congregations were established in the region before the end of World War One already. On account of historic events in 1991/92, the country’s independence from the then Soviet Union, the congregations in Lithuania had to be officially registered again, the NAC in Western Germany says.
