Great need, many small joys, and an energetic sense of community: that was the year 2015 from the perspective of New Apostolic Christians in Asia and Australia, the second region to look back over the year on nac.today.

Youth development of a different kind, generational change in leadership, and a celebration of faith with a whole lot of “paaaahhhhh”: such was the year 2015 in Africa. The continent with the most New Apostolic Christians in the world opens our series of annual reviews here on nac.today.

Jesus Christ, a superstar? This is what many people expected, already then. The Messiah they were anticipating should at least have had a golden crown, a sparkling tunic, and rings on His fingers symbolizing His power. But none of this materialized. The red carpet stopped in front of a stable.

Stop-and-go at Christmas in Brazil … This is not only caused by people travelling home over Christmas, but especially because people are stopping to admire the Christmas lights. This can even interfere with carefully timed bus schedules, Karin Zwar reports.

This past Sunday, 25 October 2015, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider conducted a divine service in our central church in Buenos Aires in Argentina, in which he placed District Apostle Norberto Passuni into retirement. District Apostle Helper Enrique Eduardo Minio was ordained to succeed him as District Apostle for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

God in His love made a covenant with man. In a divine service in Auckland recently, the Chief Apostle drew parallels between the people at the time of Moses and us today, and emphasized how important our faith in the sacrifice of Jesus and in His return is. He also addressed the importance of Holy Communion.

Young brothers take on responsibility in the Church, and brothers and sisters in South Africa celebrate the dedication of their church building. nac.today takes a look at the congregational life on three continents.

District Apostle Wilfried Klingler will go into retirement in June 2016. He is responsible for the New Apostolic Church in four German states: Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, and Thuringia. Legally, the Church in this part of Germany is registered under the name Neuapostolische Kirche Mitteldeutschland (New Apostolic Church Central Germany). Beginning with the District Apostle’s retirement, this region will merge with the District Apostle Area of Northern Germany.
