The friendliness and discipline he encountered in the church is what fascinated him already as a child. And that is exactly what Duncan Burton Mfune stood for as a District Apostle. He passed away yesterday, at the age of 88.

“It’s time to do good!” Our motto for 2025 brought back childhood memories for District Apostle Enrique Minio of South America. And it gave a new twist to an old wish.

For a whole year now, the focus has been on prayer. Congregations all over the globe have launched campaigns on the subject, graphic artists have packaged the annual motto into logos, and District Apostles around the world have shared some valuable inspiration with us all. 

The generational changes at the top of New Apostolic District Churches continue their progress: in 2024, two new District Apostles were appointed and two District Apostle Helpers were assigned. This is also reflected in the Church’s international leadership bodies.

Together with three other men, he stepped in front of the altar in 1986 to accept a special task: the three were the first District Apostle Helpers in New Apostolic history. Today, John W. Fendt Sr. would have been one hundred years old.

Two years after his last visit to Ghana, the Chief Apostle is back in the West African country. He is accompanied by the District Apostles and their assistants for the second session of the District Apostle Meeting this year. Here are some first impressions from the meeting.

Walking through the streets to make people aware of our church, playing games, or pestering the Apostle with questions—the activities offered at youth events vary. But there is one thing that is common to all of them: the young people all attend a divine service together.
