A fatal landslide, unwavering commitment, and a hopeful development. That is the story behind this picture taken in the forests of Papua New Guinea.

Before the divine service started, there was a spontaneous vocal number. The American, German, and Australian youth who had travelled to the Pan-American Youth Summit in St. Catherines, Ontario in Canada could hardly wait for the service to begin.

Whether in Helsinki, Nairobi, New York, or Bad Sassendorf, the Chief Apostle served New Apostolic Christians all over the world in 2023. While every believer could feel personally addressed in these divine services, the sermons also contained impulses for the Global Church.

There is the story of a boy who already as a twelve-year-old led by example. It was important to Jesus to understand His Father’s will. District Apostle Peter Schulte from Australia was intrigued by the two last words of our 2023 motto, “with Christ”. He examines them more closely just as the year winds down to a close.

It is only a few weeks before the end of 2023. The Church’s aid agencies still have plans and projects they want to at least get underway before the year is over. The end of our mini-series will take a look at what is going to happen going forward.

Stichting Corantijn was previously known for responding to small-scale emergencies. But the foundation from the Netherlands is now venturing into larger projects to provide effective and lasting help. The other New Apostolic aid agencies are also funding long-term projects.
