2024: a shining example of international diversity. it was a youth summit with a shining international appeal: under the motto “shine”, young people from all over north america, argentina, australia, and germany came together in canada. following is a video review featuring some of the highlights. 28 12 2024

prayer works hundreds of times. the jury of the creative art competition received a whole gallery of artworks for its annual motto contest. over two hundred artworks on the theme “prayer works” were created by children and young people from the regional church india. among the two hundred submissions received, it was not easy to choose a winner. 04 11 2024

when young people come together to celebrate. walking through the streets to make people aware of our church, playing games, or pestering the apostle with questions—the activities offered at youth events vary. but there is one thing that is common to all of them: the young people all attend a divine service together. 11 10 2024

being there for one another. when people think about more than just themselves, a lot of good things can happen. many things can serve a good cause, such as running and singing and repairing shoes. here is a look at some recent projects. 04 10 2024

driving away hunger and loneliness. poverty is particularly painful in the cold season. those who can, make themselves comfortable at home. for those who do not have a home, a warm meal and some friendly conversation can be a ray of hope, for example in a church-cum-soup-kitchen. 30 09 2024

people everywhere pray. many youth events and children’s services over the past few weeks focused on our annual motto. through play or in workshops, the young generation all over the world is learning that prayer works. 27 09 2024

loving, believing, and serving like jesus. before the divine service started, there was a spontaneous vocal number. the american, german, and australian youth who had travelled to the pan-american youth summit in st. catherines, ontario in canada could hardly wait for the service to begin. 25 09 2024

a celebration for the congregation. members of various congregations in africa, europe, and south america had reason to celebrate in recent weeks. they marked the occasions with music, a play, or a ferry crossing to an island. 19 09 2024

there is room for everyone in church. everyone is welcome, whether sick or healthy, young or old: the doors of our church are wide open. shaping the church is something that can be done together. here are examples from the new apostolic world. 13 09 2024

young people let their light shine in. it was certainly easy enough to find friends. around 1,000 young people from all over america, australia, and southern germany came together at the beginning of august—to learn how to shine and to spread their light together. 27 08 2024

church instruction—not just for children. choir leaders in ghana enjoyed a taste of university life. other church members went to church to study, and a seniors' group went to a restaurant to learn: congregational life offers many opportunities for ongoing training. 23 08 2024
