Divine service for the departed
The Chief Apostle concluded the recent session of the International District Apostle Meeting in Perth (Australia) with a divine service on Sunday, 23 October 2016 at Perth Concert Hall. The choir rendered a compelling version of the well-known “The Lord is my light”.
May this performance inspire you in your preparation for tomorrow’s celebration of the service for the departed.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation is He; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Tho’ great hosts should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek each day: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord.”
Excerpt from Psalm 27: 1–4
Music: George Frederick Root (1820–1895)
