Don’t give up on the promise
Can people forget the training and education they have had? It seems impossible. What about their faith? Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider reminds us of our calling, the promise, and our duty.
“Pass this promise on, pass this calling on. Don’t give up!” Chief Apostle Schneider appealed to the congregation in Merlebach (France) on Sunday, 16 September. “If we remain faithful to Jesus Christ, He will bless us and make us a source of blessing. It is our heartfelt desire to pass His promise on to future generations.”
The Chief Apostle based his sermon on Genesis 12: 1–2: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”
Over the centuries, people have passed God’s promise on to others. “And today, in 2018, we consider giving up simply because things have become a little difficult or inconvenient!? Because that’s what it is: it is merely inconvenient, but not unbearable. And we would just give up? That would be inconceivable.”
